Education at FCD
The FCD Education Committee provides members with a wide variety of
educational resources and events. These events range from members-only
Executive Preview sessions on the latest hot topics of concern to
public and private company directors to a Governance Elective taught by
FCD faculty for Executive MBA students and alumni on campus at the Paul
Merage School of Business at UC Irvine.
FCD Corporate Members receive 8 hours of in-boardroom education as part
of the annual membership benefits. The faculty assembled by the
Education Committee present these customized programs in the boardrooms
of the Corporate Members.
The Governance Knowledge Center, a member-only section of this
website, is managed by the Education Committee. It includes papers and
presentations from FCD speakers and members. Members who log onto the
Governance Knowledge Center are also able to access governance web
links and news feeds.
Among the programs the Committee has responsibilities for are:
Executive Previews - two per year; FCD's In-Boardroom Education
faculty discusses two subjects that are timely, controversial and deserving of discussion.
