The Forum for Corporate Directors, in partnership with the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine, offers this program to train and certify new and aspiring corporate directors in the fundamentals of becoming a director and the practice of good corporate governance.
The program will feature leading academic and professionally qualified faculty from both the UCI Executive MBA Program and the local business community, and will be limited to 30 participants to ensure an intimate and interactive learning environment. Participants who complete the 4-day course offered over two 2-day sessions will each earn a program certificate from UCI in director education and be registered with Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) as having completed a certified director education program.
Program participants will understand the ever-changing legal requirements of directorship and benefit from the real-world boardroom experience of the program faculty. This program is appropriate for currently serving board members, prospective members, and senior executives or professional service providers who work with boards of directors.
Session I: April 24-25, both days 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Session II: May 22-23, both days 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
